About this opportunity:
This role Director AI Solutions & Architecture is a senior customer-facing AI technology leader responsible for shaping, architecting, and accelerating AI-led transformation across strategic customers. This is a highly technical and hands-on role that combines deep AI expertise, solution architecture, consulting, and business leadership to take AI initiatives from concept to production.
What you will do:
AI Strategy & Transformation Leadership
- Act as the trusted AI advisor to customer executives, CTOs, CIOs, architects, and technology leaders.
- Define AI transformation strategies, roadmaps, investment priorities, and business value realization plans.
- Identify and create new AI-led business opportunities across Networks, Operations, Enterprise IT, Cloud, Security, and Digital Services.
- Drive executive discussions around AI governance, responsible AI, and AI operating models.
Hands-On AI Solution Architecture
- Design end-to-end AI architectures spanning LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, Knowledge Graphs, Data Platforms, Automation, and Cloud-native environments.
- Lead technical discovery workshops, architecture reviews, solution design sessions, and AI use-case assessments.
- Build and validate AI solution blueprints, reference architectures, and proof-of-value frameworks.
- Work directly with engineering teams to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, and production-ready.
AI Adoption & Innovation Acceleration
- Serve as the catalyst for AI adoption across customer organizations.
- Identify high-impact use cases and accelerate movement from ideation to production deployment.
- Establish AI incubation programs and innovation initiatives with customers.
- Drive AI literacy, adoption, and executive sponsorship across customer stakeholders.
- Challenge the status quo and continuously identify opportunities where AI can simplify, automate, and transform operations.
Technical Leadership & Ecosystem Engagement
- Act as the bridge between customer requirements and Ericsson's Business Areas, Product Development Units, and Solution Areas.
- Influence Ericsson's AI product roadmap through direct customer engagement and market insights.
- Provide technical leadership during major customer pursuits, proposals, and transformation programs.
AI Delivery & Value Realization
- Ensure successful transition of AI initiatives from concept, pilot, and proof-of-value into production environments.
- Support customers in establishing AI operating models, governance frameworks, and value tracking mechanisms.
- Drive measurable outcomes including productivity gains, automation benefits, operational efficiency, and customer experience improvements.
The Skills You Bring
- 15+ years of experience in AI, Software Engineering, Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, Data Platforms, Consulting, or Telecommunications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG, Vector Databases, AI Agents, MCP Frameworks, and AI Orchestration Platforms.
- Experience building, deploying, or operationalizing AI solutions in enterprise or telecommunications environments.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, automation platforms, and modern data ecosystems.
- Proven ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable AI solutions.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence both CXOs and senior technical stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, experimentation, and technology disruption.
- Demonstrated ability to drive AI adoption, challenge conventional approaches, and create new business opportunities.
