Job Description
The Group Accountant is responsible to perform all consolidation related matters for the accounting team and to liaise with the inorganic subsidiary Finance teams in consolidating the monthly results of StarHub’s expanding inorganic Group.
Group reporting and consolidation
- Prepare and facilitate timely closing of StarHub Group consolidated financial results
- Maintenance of StarHub Group permanent and intercompany elimination entries
- Upkeep of general ledger maintenance in StarHub accounting systems
- Responsible for intercompany transactions and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of StarHub Group’s consolidated reporting package
- Preparation of the StarHub Group annual report
- Partnering with local and foreign subsidiary finance teams on monthly financial close activities
- Support the acquisition and integration of newly acquired entities for StarHub Group
- Facilitate the external audit of the StarHub Group during the audit period
Other Responsibilities
- Responsible for Operational Authority and Approval Limit maintenance
- Drive process improvement, automation and other ad-hoc projects as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with at least 3 years-experience in a large audit firm, large/multinational corporation, and publicly listed firms
- Strong working knowledge of SFRS(I) accounting, Group reporting and consolidation
- Self-motivated, resourceful, hands-on and meticulous
- SAP, HFM or equivalent ERP system experienceExcel and PowerPoint expertise.
- Experience in macros is highly valued
- Experience in implementation and maintenance of automation tools is highly valued
