Systems Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer (Healthcare Robotics Deployment)
- Location : Singapore / Client Hospital Sites
- Department : Tech Team and Project Team
- Reporting to : Project Director / Project Manager
- Remuneration : 5000 SGD to 7500 SGD + VB
- Partnering Agency: Celotti Tech Talent
Role Overview
The Systems Engineer plays a pivotal role in the deployment of advanced automation solutions, leading the on-site implementation of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) within dynamic healthcare and hospital environments.
This position acts as the critical bridge between clinical operations teams and our internal software, hardware, and mechanical engineering groups. You will be responsible for understanding specific healthcare facility requirements, performing clinical site analyses, configuring system layouts, and ensuring the seamless integration of robotic fleets to optimize hospital logistics and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Deployment & Integration: Lead custom automation deployment projects, taking ownership of onsite installation, testing, and final commissioning of AMR/AGV fleets in hospitals and healthcare facilities.
- Requirements & Facility Analysis: Gather technical requirements from hospital stakeholders, conduct detailed facility site analyses, and map out clinical operational workflows.
- System Configuration: Define robotic system configurations, map out layout designs, and establish optimized routing and traffic rules for the fleet navigating high-traffic, human-centric hospital environments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal software, hardware, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure clinical requirements are accurately translated into deployed solutions.
- System-Level Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex system issues spanning hardware components, software stacks (ROS/Linux), and hospital network infrastructure (Wi-Fi/Routing).
- Client Advisory & Training: Hand over fully operational systems to healthcare end-users, providing technical support, system documentation, and comprehensive training to hospital operations teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Training:
- Essential: Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science).
- Desirable: Certifications or specialized training in Robotics or Project Management.
Experience:
- Essential: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in system integration, field deployment, or automation engineering (ideally working directly with robotics, AMRs, or AGVs).
- Desirable: Proven experience deploying systems within complex healthcare or hospital environments; experience managing sub-contractors or small technical deployment teams.
Skills & Technical Knowledge:
- Core Environment: Strong proficiency working within Linux and Robot Operating System (ROS) environments, alongside Python or Bash scripting capabilities.
- Networking: Solid understanding of industrial networking protocols, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and routing rules.
- Engineering Literacy: Ability to confidently read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics, and interface control documents.
- Problem Solving: Excellent system-level troubleshooting capabilities with a methodical approach to fault-finding.
Personal Attributes:
- Adaptable self-starter who thrives in fast-paced field environments.
- Exceptional communication skills to successfully interface with hospital administrators and technical teams alike.
- Flexible mindset regarding working hours and locations during critical healthcare deployment phases.
The Vibe & The Offer:
You’ll be joining a highly motivated, independent team of innovators who thrive on solving complex problems.
- Salary : Competitive package + growth
- Location : West
- Learning & Development : Learn from the best team in how to solve real work industrial robotics solutions together.
