What The Role Is

Ministry of Health’s (MOH) vision is to champion a healthy nation with our people – to live well, live long and with peace of mind. You will be part of the MOH Financial Resource Management Division that manages the Ministry's budget, financial operations, procurement process and grant/risk management.

As part of grant/risk management team, you will supervise and lead a small team to implement and review governance policies and procedures to ensure the effective management and oversight of grants within MOH.

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What You Will Be Working On

The key responsibilities include:

  • Formulating and operationalising MOH’s grant framework, governance policies, procedures to ensure
  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to administer, disburse and monitor grants to ensure alignment with MOH’s grants governance objectives
  • Developing and implement sectoral initiatives for the social sector in the areas of integration and streamlining of grant schemes and administration, enhancement of competencies in data analytics, fraud detection/ investigation and grant training.
  • Providing secretariat support to the Social Grant Steering Committee comprising various Ministries and Statutory Boards that administer social grants
  • Developing training programmes to build capability in grants management and governance for MOH Officers
  • Supporting continuous improvement and innovation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of MOH’s grants governance processes, leveraging technology and data analytics where applicable
  • Supervising and guiding the team in meeting work deliverables and initiatives whilst developing staff capabilities

What We Are Looking For

What are we looking for?

  • Around 6 - 8 years’ of working experience in finance, preferably in public sector.
  • Experience in Grant Administration would be an added advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, Government financial systems (NFS@Gov, Fi@Gov) and data analytics
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to engage and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Good writing and strong communication skills.
  • Possess critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Highly motivated with positive working attitude
  • Able to multi-task, work independently, and work under pressure and meet tight deadlines to produce the desired results

    Ideal candidate should also possess the following key competencies:
