We are looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Software Engineer to own the reliability and scalability of a massive on-prem stack, leveraging automation, Python, and Ansible to streamline high-traffic environments. This isn't just a maintenance role—you'll be at the heart of optimizing Big Data pipelines and containerized workflows for a firm that values engineering excellence over box-ticking.
The Role
- Architect and optimize DevOps workflows to slash deployment friction and improve the overall developer experience.
- Take full ownership of on-prem Linux server clusters, ensuring high availability through proactive monitoring and automation.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure bottlenecks across networking (TCP/IP), SQL databases, and distributed systems.
- Secure the perimeter and internal systems by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing robust, automated remediation strategies.
- Manage and scale big data platforms including Spark, HDFS, and Airflow to support high-speed data processing.
What You'll Need
- Deep expertise in Linux Systems Administration and a commitment to "automation-first" problem-solving.
- Strong coding and scripting skills, specifically with Python and Bash, to build custom tooling and integrations.
- Proficiency with Configuration Management and Containerization tools such as Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes (K8s).
- A solid grasp of Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP) and Version Control via Git.
- Experience managing large-scale data systems or SQL databases in a high-demand production environment.
