Job Summary
As Technical Analyst, you will be a part of our Financial Systems team and assist in creating and maintaining database models in current Financial Systems. You will work closely with FP&A team and business users to maintain and enhance our current planning framework and system. The role will address issues, provide accurate and timely insights pertaining to current financial models and create new models as the needs arise.
This role will require you to use Financial Systems and Data Analytics tools as well as IBM Performance Management tools (such as IBM Cognos TM1/ Planning Analytics) and Structured Query Language (SQL) for development, automation, and maintenance of applications in both financial and hospitality management domain
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain complex data models to solve budgeting, planning, performance management and reporting challenges in the financial systems.
- Maintain OLAP multi-dimensional cubes and support dimension management, metadata design/maintenance and ETL development.
- Undertaking data collection, preprocessing and analysis of large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns to keep the system logic accurate and up to date.
- Support business teams with their day-to-day financial systems related BAU activities around Bi-Weekly forecast and budget Periods.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related analytical fields.
- 1–2 years of experience in database or system roles preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including strong VBA skills.
- Strong interest in financial systems, OLAP modeling, and process automation.
- Experience with IBM Cognos TM1/Planning Analytics is a plus.
- Exposure to SQL, Python, R, or data mining/modeling techniques is preferred.
- Background in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, or hospitality/gaming is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and accountable, able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities under pressure, including occasional work outside regular hours.
- Effective communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships across teams.
