What The Role Is
You support the operationalisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the SAF AI Centre (SAIC) for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), working closely with various stakeholders to develop and establish AI processes and architecture within the organisation.
The SAF Artificial Intelligence Centre (SAIC) is a unit within the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) that addresses SAF's operational data science challenges and enhances defence capabilities through innovative AI solutions.
What You Will Be Working On
- Develop and establish AI processes and architecture within the SAF
- Design training and development programmes
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
- Establish AI processes and collaborations
Challenge(s)
- Understanding and applying AI/Machine Learning (ML) and languages like Python
- Working with complex data structures and algorithms
- Staying up-to-date with rapidly evolving AI/ML technologies
- Applying deep understanding of AI/ML to SAF's specific needs and contexts
What We Are Looking For
- Education in quantitative, scientific and technology disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science and Analytics
- At least 8 years of relevant digital working experience, preferably in a leadership role
- Deep understanding of AI/ML (supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, deep learning)
- Hands-on experience with current AI tools like TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Strong leadership traits
- Good planning abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under stressful environments
