Contract: IT Lab Support Engineer


Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Onsite: 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)
Hours: Normal business hours (Denmark)
Rate: Negotiable

Role Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring seamless IT operations across lab and cleanroom environments, supporting engineering workflows, maintaining secure and compliant systems, and delivering reliable infrastructure across both standard and sensitive environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems & Server Support

  • Perform regular system health checks, backups, and performance tuning
  • Retrieve files and footage from cold storage as required
  • Implement automated cleanup routines and asset archiving processes
  • Ensure systems are scalable to support future XR and interactive workloads

User Account, Device Management & IT Onboarding

  • Act as primary user account owner for shared devices across the program
  • Audit device access and enforce security policies aligned to enterprise standards
  • Manage user provisioning, permissions, and access control
  • Support device imaging, updates, and full lifecycle management
  • Provide IT support for design workflows (e.g. Adobe SSO issues, large file transfers)

Cleanroom (Quantum Fabrication) IT & Tool Support

  • Act as primary IT contact for cleanroom tools and associated control systems
  • Secure and segment networks (VLANs, ACLs), manage firewalls, and enable secure vendor access
  • Harden, image, and lifecycle-manage instrument PCs, coordinating patching with vendors
  • Implement monitoring and alerting for tools and facility telemetry
  • Procure and maintain cleanroom-compliant hardware (ESD-safe, low particulate equipment)
  • Plan and execute controlled software/firmware changes with testing and rollback procedures
  • Manage access control for tools and facilities (badging, logins), maintaining SOPs and audit logs
  • Oversee backup and disaster recovery for tool systems and data, including regular restore testing
  • Support remote diagnostics (KVM-over-IP) and after-hours troubleshooting where required
  • Liaise with vendors for issue resolution, maintenance scheduling, and lifecycle management
