SGD $10,000 to $12,000 Monthly
Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise all electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for AC and DC power systems.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of generators, transformers, switchboards, MCCs, UPS systems, battery banks, and distribution networks.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of high- and low-voltage electrical systems in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults in propulsion systems, automation systems, control panels, and protection systems.
• Plan and manage electrical drydock/yard projects, retrofits, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, load analysis, and protection coordination studies.
• Coordinate with shipyards, contractors, OEMs, and classification societies during inspections and major electrical works.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., SOLAS, IEC, IEEE, class requirements) and company HSE policies.
• Prepare technical reports, root cause analysis (RCA), spare parts forecasting, and budget planning for electrical systems.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Marine Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in marine, offshore, shipyard, power plant, or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of AC/DC theory, power generation and distribution, protection systems, and automation controls.
• Hands-on experience with HV/LV systems, switchgear, PLCs, VFDs, and electrical fault diagnostics.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
