READY TO HELP GUIDE ETHICAL DECISION-MAKING ACROSS CMS?

Join CMS and serve as a trusted advisor on ethics matters that impact employees, managers, and agency operations. In this role, you’ll help administer the CMS ethics program and provide guidance on standards of conduct, financial disclosure, conflicts of interest, outside employment, procurement integrity, and political activities.


Responsibilities


  • Administer the CMS ethics program and serve as a program expert on ethics regulations and standards of conduct
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement updates to ethics operations and policy documents
  • Serve as a technical consultant to the Deputy Ethics Counselor, managers, and employees
  • Advise on sensitive issues involving employee ethics, conflicts of interest, impartiality, outside employment, financial disclosure, procurement integrity, and political activities


Qualifications


Applicants must have 1 year specialized experience equivalent to GS-12, including:


Required Skills


  • Analyzing potential conflicts of interest and recommending or implementing mitigation strategies
  • Reviewing confidential and public financial disclosure reports for compliance
  • Interpreting and applying federal ethics laws, regulations, and policies to advise employees and management

Pay range and compensation package


Salary: $121,785 – $158,322/year


Location: Woodlawn, MD


Telework: Yes — situational telework, as determined by agency policy | Remote: No


Appointment Type: Permanent, Full-Time


Travel: Occasional
