Responsible for supervising and executing utilities‑related electrical works in compliance with safety, project, and authority requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise relocation and protection of 11kV, 33kV, and LV electrical networks, including cabling, jointing, trenching, feeder pillars, and substations.
Oversee complete Road lighting and Traffic Signal systems, including light pole installation, foundations, cable routing, control panels, manholes, ducting and network integration.
Manage telecommunication diversions, including duct banks, chambers, manholes, micro ducts, fiber installation, splicing, and testing.
Coordinate with utility authorities for NOCs, shutdowns, inspections, approvals, and technical requirements.
Review drawings, submissions, and method statements, ensuring full technical compliance and smooth site execution.
Ensure electrical installations comply with approved drawings, local regulations, and utility authority standards.
Monitor site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within project timelines.
Conduct inspections, testing, energization, and commissioning of electrical utility systems.
Identify and resolve technical issues related to electrical utilities and site conditions.
Prepare inspection requests, technical reports, and as-built documentation.
Ensure compliance with HSE standards and enforce electrical safety practices on site.
Support project handover and final approvals from relevant authorities.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience
5 years of experience in road construction or infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years in utilities‑related electrical works.
Skills
Strong knowledge of electrical utility systems and construction practices.
Ability to read and interpret utility drawings and technical documents.
Familiarity with Oman local authority and utility approval processes.
Good coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
Strong understanding of electrical safety and HSE requirements
