The Head of Wellness provides strategic leadership in the design, delivery and continuous improvement of holistic wellness programmes for seniors, including those with special needs and mild disabilities. This role oversees evidence‑based initiatives that promote physical health, mental well‑being, social engagement and preventive care, while integrating closely with medical, rehabilitation, TCM and dietary services. The Head of Wellness leads staff capability development, drives data‑informed programme optimisation, and ensures wellness services are safe, accessible and tailored to the evolving needs of the senior community to support active and healthy ageing.

Job Descriptions

  • Provide strategic leadership and governance for senior wellness and preventive health programmes
  • Design, implement and review integrated wellness frameworks aligned with active ageing and care continuum models
  • Develop structured, evidence‑based programme curricula according to seniors' functional, cognitive and health profiles
  • Establish programme delivery standards, SOPs and risk management protocols
  • Lead staff capability development, coaching and competency building in senior wellness delivery
  • Monitor programme performance, participation and outcomes using data and quality indicators
  • Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance programme effectiveness and client engagement
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support integrated and personalised wellness planning
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise in functional fitness, fall prevention and lifestyle health
  • Ensure compliance with organisational, professional and sector quality requirements

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Sports & Exercise Science, Physiotherapy, Health Science, Gerontology, or related field.
  • Certified Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor (e.g., ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA).
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience delivering fitness or rehabilitation programmes, with at least 2 years in a supervisory / team leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics, senior functional fitness, and agerelated conditions.
  • Experience designing or evaluating community-based or therapeutic fitness programmes.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and people leadership capabilities.
  • CPR and AED certified.
