Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Comply with Supervisor and Foreman’s instructions and perform to achieve quality works safely, within the stipulated completion time.
Strictly follow all steps in risk assessments and attend the RA briefing before commencement of work.
Understanding of job requirements before start work.
Enquire with superior if in doubt & regarding of safety & quality issue.
Able to understand the types of materials & grades.
Ensure personal safety and safety of others. Follow rules and regulation and inspire others to do so.
Ensure personal tools & equipment are maintained & good conditions.
Cooperate with other trade for sequential work flow and smoother job completion within given schedule.
Able to understand reading the basic carpentry drawings.
Contribute idea to improve working methods.
Take ownership of own quality of work.

Key Requirements

2 Years above with relevant working experience .
Able to read and understand ship structural drawing
Experience in working on new building or repair vessel inclusive of take off and project management
Able to motivate and give ideas to subordinates.
Able to identify problems and take corrective actions which can delay the project schedule.
Familiar with shipyard safety rules and regulation and MOM requirements.
