Roles & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day business operations of the retail store; liaising with customers in order to ensure a transaction goes smoothly. You are expected to help customers choose between the company’s array of goods and services, process payments and maintain a high-level of customer service and relations. You may be involved in handling pets too.

Job Description

  • Support the day-to-day business operations of the retail store.
  • Perform cashiering function / Cashiering counter closing.
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of store items to provide advice and recommendations as needed.
  • Promoting products by upselling and cross-selling.
  • Handling customer complaints and feedback
  • Performing pet care and hygiene (in outlets with live small animals)
  • Arranging product displays and maintaining sales floor appearance and cleanliness
  • Perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for staff, customers and pets.
  • Stocktaking, replenishing stocks, ordering and receiving goods.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A strong team player with a courteous, positive and customer service oriented attitude
  • Willing to learn and like to meet people
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to commit retail working hours including weekends and public holidays (off on a weekday)
  • No prior experience required.
  • On job training will be provided.
