Role purpose

The Financial Services Researcher is responsible for producing high quality enhanced due diligence reports for financial services clients. He/she will be responsible for producing clear, analytical and exceptionally well-written reports which help financial services Clients in the Asia Pacific region meet compliance and regulatory requirement.
He/she will be responsible for a range of tasks, including conducting in-depth research of public records such as media articles, corporate records, litigation and regulatory filings, social media sites, and compliance databases; engaging in discreet interviews to gather information around companies’ and individuals’ reputation and develop intelligence on specific topics and industries; producing enhanced due diligence and research reports to support major banking transactions such as IPOs and debt issuance. RETAIL SALES DEVELOPMENT:

• Take ownership of sell-in executive for the brands.
• Monitor sales on daily basis and follow up with retail staff to ensure consistency of customer service delivery and to achieve monthly sales targets.

The Digital Marketing Team is the engine behind data-driven growth for our brand partners across Southeast Asia’s eCommerce landscape. Specializing in performance marketing across marketplaces like Shopee, Lazada & TikTok, we focus on the entire 360-degree customer journey and build better digital experiences at each stage of the funnel. From media planning to real-time optimization and analytics on Meta, Google & Programmatic, the team partners closely with clients to unlock the full potential of eCommerce marketing—turning insights into action, and clicks into conversions.

The part you will play

We are looking for a visionary and dynamic Regional Brand Marketing Strategist to join our team. This role operates at the exciting intersection of scale and strategy. You will hold a dual mandate: acting as a "horizontal" capability builder to develop a standardized, high-performing social commerce machine across markets, while also serving as the "vertical" strategic lead for key brand accounts.

You will not just be a thinker, but a capability builder who bridges the gap between overarching business goals, audience insights, full-funnel activation, and compelling content.

As a Regional Brand Marketing Lead, you will take charge of 

1. Brand Strategy & Account Leadership

• Own and develop strong, differentiated brand marketing strategies for assigned key accounts, grounded in:
• Business objectives
• Category dynamics
• Audience insights
• Act as the strategic lead on accounts, ensuring clarity and consistency across all marketing initiatives.
• Lead strategic conversations in pitches and QBRs, bringing a senior point of view and cross-market insights.

2. Full-Funnel Strategy & Translation

• Translate business strategy into end-to-end full-funnel marketing plans, including:
• Audience persona definition
• Funnel design (awareness → consideration → conversion)
• Channel roles (TikTok, Meta, marketplaces, etc.)
• Content strategy (what to say, not just what to produce)
• Ensure alignment and consistency across the full funnel and all channels.

3. Strategic Direction & Execution Alignment

• Provide clear strategic direction to:
• Creative teams (briefing, messaging, content approach)
• Performance teams (activation logic, channel strategy)
• Work at account level to ensure seamless execution of the strategy.

4. Data-Driven Strategy & Innovation

• Leverage tools and data sources such as:
• TikTok MarketScope
• Category benchmarks
• Competitive landscape analysis
• Translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations to drive growth on assigned accounts.

What we are looking for - the ideal profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Business, or any related fields
• 8+ years of experience in full-funnel performance marketing. 
• Experience in brand strategy, campaign planning, or integrated marketing.
• Proven experience in social commerce and digital platforms (TikTok, Shopee, Lazada, Meta).
• Ability to link creativity with performance metrics and business outcomes.
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset.
• Experience in ecommerce or agency environments is a plus.

The selected candidate(s) will be a key member of the small team working at Stranger Soccer Kuala Lumpur, assisting with various marketing, operations, and community engagement initiatives. 

• Serving on the front lines of the customer experience, supporting as an on-ground host for a few football sessions each week.

You will be expected to be performing this role on a Full-Time basis. The role reports to the Head of Demand Generation, Regional.

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start-up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

• Funnel ownership: Own the end-to-end acquisition funnel from paid media execution through to lead capture, quality assessment, and pipeline handoff — ensuring performance is tracked and optimised at every stage.
• Backend Setup & Automation: Build and manage acquisition infrastructure including landing pages, lead capture forms, and backend automations to support campaign execution and ensure seamless lead flow into downstream systems.
• Paid Ads Expertise: Develop, execute, and optimise paid advertising campaigns across platforms like LinkedIn, Google Ads, and Meta (Facebook, Instagram). Ensure alignment of campaigns with the company’s growth objectives and track performance to maximise ROI.
• Campaign Strategy & Execution: Plan, create, and continuously refine paid ad campaigns, including keyword research, bid management, and A/B testing to improve campaign performance.
• Cross-Channel Optimisation: Leverage a multi-channel approach to refine targeting, retargeting, and remarketing strategies, ensuring high-quality leads and increased conversions.
• Performance Reporting & Analytics: Track and analyse campaign performance metrics (e.g., CTR, CPC, CPA) and provide actionable insights to optimise and scale campaigns. Present data-driven reports and recommendations for ongoing improvements.
• Close Collaboration with Marketing Team: Work in tandem with the marketing team, including Content Marketing, Brand, PR & Communications, to ensure integrated marketing efforts and smooth lead transition
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Engage with external departments such as regional and local market stakeholders, Operations, and the Product team to align business strategies.

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end acquisition funnel: With the ability to track, assess, and optimise performance across paid media execution, lead capture, lead quality evaluation, and Hubspot CRM pipeline.
• Marketing Infrastructure & Automation: Hands-on proficiency in building and managing acquisition infrastructure, including landing pages, lead capture forms, and backend automations using tools such as HubSpot, n8n, or Squarespace to ensure seamless lead flow and accurate attribution.
• Data & Analytics Proficiency: Strong ability to interpret data, generate insights, and optimise campaigns based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MQL, SQL, CTR, conversion rate, and ROI.
• Growth Marketing Mindset: Deep understanding of growth marketing strategies with hands-on experience in digital channels, lead generation, and performance analysis.
• Adaptability and Timeliness: Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to changes in demand generation trends and strategies.
