The team you will be part of
The Social Commerce Team is a fast-growing team leading the way in livestream selling, short video content, and affiliate marketing across Southeast Asia. We work with top brands, combining creativity, data, and platform expertise to drive real commercial results. As part of Intrepid’s end-to-end eCommerce ecosystem, we gain broad exposure across operations, collaborate with cross-functional experts, and play a key role in shaping how brands connect with digital shoppers in real time.
The part you will play
The Livestream Production Team Lead will oversee the technical and operational aspects of Intrepid Malaysia’s livestream production and studio operations, ensuring high-quality livestream execution across multiple brand accounts.
This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in livestream production, studio setup, and troubleshooting within a fast-paced e-commerce livestream environment. The Production Lead will also supervise production managers, maintain studio readiness, and continuously optimize livestream production standards across platforms.
Beyond technical execution, the role supports livestream campaigns aligned with platform promotions and brand objectives, contributing to key performance metrics such as viewer engagement, traffic, and conversion.
As the Livestream Production Team Lead, you will take charge of:
Livestream Technical Production & Supervision
- Lead the technical setup and execution of livestream sessions across multiple brand accounts on platforms such as TikTok Shop, Shopee Live.
- Ensure high-quality livestream production through proper camera operation, lighting setup, audio management, and scene transitions.
- Manage livestream production workflows including OBS/vMix scene management, camera switching, overlays, and sound balancing.
- Monitor livestream sessions in real time and provide immediate troubleshooting to maintain smooth broadcast continuity.
- Standardize livestream production quality across brands by implementing consistent technical configurations and setups.
- Work closely with hosts and Social Commerce Account Managers to deliver engaging and seamless livestream experiences.
Studio & Equipment Management
- Maintain full studio readiness, including equipment organization, cleanliness, and functional setup for livestream sessions.
- Manage studio inventory including cameras, lighting equipment, audio systems, props, and product samples.
- Track equipment usage and conduct routine maintenance to ensure all production equipment remains in optimal working condition.
- Plan and supervise equipment upgrades or purchases to support evolving livestream production needs.
- Conduct daily and weekly technical checks to minimize last-minute issues before livestream sessions.
Livestream Quality Optimization
- Identify recurring technical issues during livestream sessions and implement preventive solutions to reduce disruptions.
- Monitor production quality across livestream sessions and recommend improvements aligned with market standards.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for livestream technical setup, studio operations, and troubleshooting.
- Document best practices for livestream production, equipment configuration, and technical workflows.
- Support the team in improving livestream production efficiency and scalability across multiple brands.
Team Supervision & Development
- Supervise and mentor Production Assistants to maintain consistent livestream production standards.
- Assign tasks and coordinate production schedules to support multiple brand livestream campaigns.
- Train team members on studio equipment, livestream tools, and operational best practices.
- Ensure adherence to production standards, technical workflows, and studio operational procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Social Commerce Account Managers, hosts, and marketing teams to ensure livestream production aligns with brand campaign objectives.
- Support commercial teams in delivering high-impact livestream sessions during platform campaigns and promotional events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain consistent production quality across different brands and livestream formats.
- Contribute insights on production improvements based on livestream execution experience.
Who We Look For – The Ideal Profile
Experience & Competencies
- 3+ years of experience in livestream production, studio operations, or video production within ecommerce, social commerce, or digital media.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of livestream production tools such as OBS, vMix, or similar streaming systems.
- Practical experience with camera operations, lighting setup, and audio engineering.
- Familiarity with social commerce livestream platforms such as TikTok Shop, Shopee Live
- Experience managing studio equipment and maintaining production inventory systems.
- Prior experience supervising production assistants or technical teams is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues under time pressure.
