Culture is Decent, but Can Be Inconsistent
Pros: I've met some really good people here. As a Software Engineer, my direct team was super collaborative and supportive. It’s great being a remote-first tech company, offering full WFH flexibility.
Cons: The company culture feels pretty inconsistent across different departments. Sometimes it's hard to feel connected to the wider startup environment. There's not much central effort to build community beyond team meetings, which can feel a bit isolating working remote from home.
Advice to Management: Try to create more unified company-wide cultural initiatives. It would really help remote employees feel more connected to the overall mission and not just their immediate team.

Remote Work is Great, Pay & Benefits are Just Okay
Pros: I loved the remote work setup here. It's truly flexible, which is a huge perk for WFH. As a Software Engineer, the base salary was decent, especially for a startup. The health insurance plan was pretty solid too, which is important.
Cons: The overall compensation package wasn't amazing though. Stock options felt pretty weak compared to other tech companies. Don't expect huge bonuses either; the structure for those is pretty unclear. Could use better PTO and other perks.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the stock option program for all roles. Make bonus structures more transparent, especially for engineers. Consider adding more robust PTO or other unique benefits to truly compete in the tech talent market.

Solid remote flexibility for tech roles
Pros: I love the freedom that comes with being a `Software Engineer` at Remotee. The `remote work` setup is truly flexible; I can pretty much set my own schedule which helps my `work-life balance`. Being `remote from Austin, TX` also means no commute which is awesome.
Cons: While it's mostly flexible, `agile teams` sometimes have mandatory meetings that can cut into your ideal schedule. It's a `startup`, so there's an expectation to be available, even if you're working odd hours. Can feel a bit unstructured at times.
Advice to Management: Keep fostering the flexible environment but try to optimize meeting times for global remote teams. This would further enhance the work-life balance aspect.
