Hybrid Work: It's There, But Not Always Truly Flexible
Pros: They do offer a hybrid model, which is a nice perk for an industrial equipment company. As a Sales Manager, I can usually schedule client visits myself. There's some WFH flexibility when I'm not in the Tulsa, Oklahoma office.
Cons: The 'hybrid' isn't as flexible as advertised sometimes. You still need to be onsite often, especially if you're in an engineering role. It feels more like a fixed office schedule with a couple of WFH days.
Advice to Management: Really examine what 'flexibility' means to employees across different departments. Give teams more freedom to decide their schedules. Empower managers to trust their teams more.

Decent stability, but career growth is slow
Pros: You get solid experience, especially for junior engineering roles, working directly on products in the manufacturing plant. It's a stable company; job security felt pretty good during my time there. The team I worked with was generally supportive and knowledgeable.
Cons: Career growth is really slow. There's not much upward mobility for individual contributors unless someone leaves. Development opportunities felt limited for mechanical engineering staff. It can feel like a bit of a dead end if you're looking to move up quickly in the industrial sector.
Advice to Management: Look at creating clearer paths for career progression for engineering roles. Invest more in training and development programs to retain talent.

Field Service Engineer

Pay and benefits are just okay, could improve.
Pros: The health insurance package is pretty decent, covers a good amount of stuff. They've got a 401k match that's solid, which helps with retirement savings. For us Field Service Engineers, the travel per diem was usually fair when on the road for client sites.
Cons: Salaries for engineering roles, especially in the Tulsa office, feel a bit low compared to other industrial companies. Raises don't come around often, and the annual bonus for onsite work isn't very substantial. I felt the overall benefit package could be more competitive in the HVAC industry.
Advice to Management: Please re-evaluate salary bands for all engineering positions to ensure they're competitive. Consider implementing better bonus structures for those of us doing demanding onsite and field service work.
