Great Place for Growth and Flexibility in Financial Services
Pros: As a Client Services Associate at IQ-EQ in New York, NY, I've found a great work environment. The work flexibility is a huge plus, ensuring a decent work-life balance, which is critical in financial services. Colleagues are supportive, and there are solid learning opportunities within fund administration and corporate services.
Cons: My main constructive feedback is that internal approval processes can sometimes be slow. While there's career development, promotion timelines feel a bit extended compared to other firms.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal approval processes to enhance efficiency and provide clearer promotion pathways for career development.

Decent Work-Life, Demanding for Accountants
Pros: The hybrid work setup is pretty good, helps with personal stuff. Outside of peak reporting for financial services, 40-hour weeks are common. It's a decent balance if you're good at managing your workload.
Cons: Quarter-end and year-end for us Senior Fund Accountants are brutal, 60+ hours isn't rare. It's tough on your work-life balance when the deadlines hit in this corporate environment. Overtime during these periods can be exhausting.
Advice to Management: Try to staff better during peak periods to ease the burden on fund accountants. More cross-training could help distribute the workload when deadlines are tight.

Decent hybrid model, but needs improvement
Pros: They do offer a hybrid work model which is nice. As a Senior Fund Accountant, coming into the New York office only a few days a week really helps with commuting. It's decent flexibility for a company in fund administration.
Cons: The "hybrid" rules aren't always clear, and it feels like some teams have more remote options than others. Sometimes you're expected to be onsite more without much warning. True work flexibility for all roles still isn't quite there.
Advice to Management: Clearly define the hybrid policy across all teams and ensure it's applied fairly. More transparency on expectations would really help employees.
