Pros: As a Manufacturing Engineer, the base salary was pretty competitive for the Bay Area. They offer a standard 401k which is fine. Job security felt solid in this corporate environment.
Cons: The benefits package, especially healthcare, felt a bit weak compared to other companies in the electronics manufacturing industry. The bonus structure isn't very clear or generous. Don't expect huge raises either.
Advice to Management: Sanmina management should seriously look at improving the benefits package, especially health insurance options. A more transparent and generous bonus program would really help with retention in this competitive market.

Pros: As a Manufacturing Engineer, I did get some say in daily task prioritization. There's a solid team at the San Jose office, and folks generally try to help out. You do learn a lot about electronics manufacturing processes.
Cons: Work flexibility here is pretty tough, especially for onsite production roles. You're mostly tied to a strict schedule, so remote work or hybrid options aren't really a thing. It's hard to adjust hours for personal appointments.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more flexible shift options where possible, even for manufacturing roles. It would really help with employee morale.

Pros: It's a really stable company, which is nice. As an entry-level engineer, I learned a lot about process flow and quality control. The team in the San Jose office was generally supportive, and you get decent benefits too.
Cons: Career growth here feels pretty stalled for many roles. There aren't many clear promotion paths for engineers after the first few years. You're mostly stuck in your current role, even if you want to get into different areas of electronics manufacturing or supply chain. It's primarily onsite work, so flexibility is low, and that can make it tough if you have other commitments.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career ladders and development programs for their experienced employees. It's tough to see a future here without defined paths for internal promotion.
