Software Engineer

Fast-paced startup, sometimes a bit chaotic.
Pros: The team in the Hong Kong office is pretty supportive, especially among individual contributors. There are always new challenges, so you're constantly learning new tech stacks and problem-solving. It's cool to see your work directly impact the product in a startup setting.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit disorganized sometimes, with priorities shifting often. Work-life balance for my Software Engineer role wasn't always great, especially during crunch times for new features. Leadership communication isn't always the clearest on big picture goals.
Advice to Management: Try to solidify project planning and communicate strategic direction more clearly to the whole team. This would really help with project stability and reducing last-minute changes.

Okay Flexibility, But Remote Options Limited
Pros: There's some project flexibility if you manage your workload well. For customer success roles, it's decent for handling daily tasks and interacting with the team in person.
Cons: Work-from-home isn't really an option here; it's mostly onsite work in the Singapore office. This can be tough in a fast-paced startup environment when you need quiet time or have personal appointments.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more hybrid or remote options for employees. It would really help with morale and attract a wider talent pool, especially for a SaaS platform company like ours.

Fast-paced startup, good team vibe sometimes
Pros: The team in the Hong Kong office is pretty solid. Everyone's generally supportive, especially among fellow Sales Development Representatives. It's a true startup vibe, so there's a lot of energy and you can learn quickly in the customer messaging space.
Cons: The company culture here can feel pretty demanding. There's a lot of pressure to hit targets, which often leads to long hours and a tough work-life balance. It's not always easy to relax, even on weekends in this fast-growth SaaS startup.
Advice to Management: Try to find a better balance between aggressive growth targets and employee well-being. A demanding culture is one thing, but burning people out won't help long-term retention in the competitive SaaS industry.
