Tough Hours, but You Learn a Lot
Pros: You get a lot of hands-on experience quickly. The hybrid work model helps balance things when project loads aren't insane. There's good exposure to varied projects.
Cons: Work-life balance is often really tough for Senior Associate roles. Client demands mean unpredictable, long hours. Project deadlines can be brutal, especially for the Menlo Park office teams.
Advice to Management: Management needs to actively promote better boundaries. Support the hybrid work model consistently.

Career Growth Can Be Slow for Consultants
Pros: Working in the Menlo Park office means tackling truly complex projects in engineering consulting. As a Consultant, I gained deep technical expertise. It's a great place to build your knowledge base if you're into forensic engineering investigations.
Cons: Career advancement can feel glacial, especially after the initial senior consultant push. It felt like career growth stagnated for technical consultants after a few years. The company doesn't always prioritize internal growth for its technical staff.
Advice to Management: Focus more on clear career progression paths for technical staff beyond the senior consultant level. Offer more mentorship and development opportunities to retain talent.
