Good flexibility, but you're always on call
Pros: The WFH setup is a big plus for legal recruiting. I've been remote from Los Angeles, CA, and it's been pretty solid for managing my schedule. You get decent control over your day.
Cons: It's tough to set boundaries; you often feel like you're always 'on' for attorney placement needs. The flexibility comes with the expectation of constant availability, which isn't always healthy.
Advice to Management: Help managers set clear expectations for after-hours work. Encourage folks in legal recruiting to truly disconnect sometimes.

Career Growth is Up to You Here, Mostly
Pros: You get a lot of autonomy as a Legal Recruiter. It's a great place to build your book of business for attorney placements if you're a self-starter. You can really shape your own path in this specialized recruiting firm if you're motivated.
Cons: Structured career growth paths are tough to find. There aren't many clear promotion steps, especially for senior Legal Recruiter roles, beyond just making more deals. Sometimes it feels like you're just on your own to figure out how to advance.
Advice to Management: Create clearer advancement tracks and offer more mentorship opportunities for Legal Recruiter roles. It would help retain talent if career development felt more structured.

Good pay for the role, but benefits lack
Pros: The base salary is competitive, especially for a Legal Recruiter in the Los Angeles office. If you're good at closing deals, the commission structure in the legal industry can be pretty solid.
Cons: However, the health insurance plans aren't great; you end up paying a lot out of pocket. The 401k match is pretty low, so saving for retirement isn't as easy as it could be.
Advice to Management: Please review the benefits package. Better health insurance options and a more competitive 401k match would make a huge difference for employee retention.
