Decent Pay for Engineers, Benefits Are Just Okay
Pros: The base salary for a **Software Engineer** is pretty competitive within the **fintech industry**. I appreciate the flexibility of working **remote from home** and the WFH stipend they offer for equipment.
Cons: The overall **pay and benefit** package isn't super robust. Health insurance options are pretty standard, and there aren't many extra perks or bonus structures beyond the basic salary.
Advice to Management: Consider enhancing the benefits package, especially health insurance and retirement contributions, to be more competitive. A clear bonus structure could also boost morale and retention.

Work-life is a struggle at this fintech startup
Pros: The team is smart and dedicated, which makes the work interesting. You learn a lot fast, especially in digital payments. Being in the Singapore office meant good food nearby too.
Cons: But the work-life balance? It's really tough. As a Software Engineer, I often worked way over 40 hours, sometimes 60+. There's a lot of pressure, making it hard to relax after work.
Advice to Management: RedotPay leadership needs to look at staffing levels and project scope. It's not sustainable for the long run if people are constantly burned out. Consider more work flexibility, even just occasionally, for key roles.

Leadership has potential, but needs better direction
Pros: As a Customer Support Specialist, my direct manager was pretty solid. They genuinely cared about helping us grow and handled daily issues well. For a fintech startup, that one-on-one support was definitely a plus.
Cons: The higher-ups, though? Not so much. There's often no clear vision for the company's direction, which makes remote work challenging. Communication in the broader fintech industry here feels messy and uncoordinated.
Advice to Management: Upper management needs to work on a clearer strategic vision for RedotPay and improve internal communication. Employees, especially those in remote roles, need to understand the company's direction.
