Decent hybrid setup, but hours can be tough
Pros: As an Investigator in the New York City office, the hybrid work model is a definite plus. You get to balance WFH days with in-office collaboration, which is great for staying connected with the team. It's a pretty good arrangement for typical weeks.
Cons: True work flexibility can be tough during peak project times. For urgent corporate investigations or complex due diligence, you often need to be online late, and spontaneous changes to your WFH schedule aren't always an option. It's not a 'do your work when you want' kind of place.
Advice to Management: Maybe look into better resource allocation so investigators aren't always stretched too thin, especially on big projects. It would really help with burnout and make the hybrid model feel more truly flexible.

Solid place for investigative work
Pros: For investigator roles, the job security feels pretty solid. You don't often hear about big layoffs, which is a relief in the business intelligence industry. The company has a stable client base, especially in the New York City office.
Cons: Pay raises aren't super frequent, so salary growth can feel slow after a few years. Sometimes the workload for a junior investigator gets intense, making work-life balance a bit tough, though it's usually manageable.
Advice to Management: Consider faster salary adjustments for investigators. It helps retain talent, especially in a competitive market.

Okay Work Flexibility for Investigations
Pros: The hybrid work model is pretty solid here. As an Investigative Consultant, I've got some freedom to adjust my start and end times, which is a big plus. Being able to work from home in the NYC office a few days a week really helps with personal appointments.
Cons: However, the nature of our due diligence projects often means tight deadlines. It's hard to truly disconnect sometimes, even with the hybrid setup. There's an unspoken expectation to be available, which can eat into personal time.
Advice to Management: Encourage teams to truly utilize the hybrid policy and set clearer expectations around off-hours availability. This would really help with employee retention.
