Pros: Work-life balance here is generally okay if you're on a standard shift. As a Machine Operator, I usually had 40-hour weeks. It's a stable job in tooling manufacturing.
Cons: Overtime can be unpredictable, especially if a rush order comes in. Sometimes you feel like you can't say no. There's not much flexibility for appointments without using PTO.
Advice to Management: Try to give more advanced notice for mandatory overtime. Also, look into offering a little more flexibility for doctor appointments or personal time.
