Pros: I did learn a ton about mobile app development here. Some senior engineers are great mentors for junior tech roles. It's a proper startup environment, so you get exposure to a lot in the Hong Kong office.
Cons: Leadership sometimes feels disconnected from daily project work. There's not always clear direction on new features for our educational apps. It can be tough getting feedback or proper guidance when you need it most as an entry-level engineer.
Advice to Management: Try to be more present with the engineering teams, especially the junior members. Clearer communication on project roadmaps and providing structured feedback would help a lot with retention for entry-level tech talent.

Pros: For a tech startup in Hong Kong, the base pay for a Junior Software Engineer isn't terrible. It's competitive enough to get by in the city.
Cons: The benefits package is pretty thin though. Don't expect a big annual bonus, and raises weren't really a thing during my time. Health insurance coverage was basic.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving the overall compensation package beyond just base salary. A better benefits plan and a clearer path to annual bonuses or raises would really help retain talent in Hong Kong's competitive tech market.
