Good Benefits, Pay is Solid for Engineers
Pros: The health insurance is really comprehensive, which is a huge relief. The 401k match is also pretty decent. As an Electrical Engineer working in industrial automation, my base salary was competitive for the Houston market.
Cons: Annual raises can feel a bit small, like they don't always keep up with inflation. The bonus payout isn't always clear either, which is tough in a big corporate environment. It feels like merit isn't always fully recognized.
Advice to Management: Management should definitely work on making career progression paths clearer and more transparent. Also, a more open dialogue about compensation and bonus structures would really help employee morale. It's a big company, but communication can always improve.
