Solid Place to Learn in Global Logistics
Pros: Working as a Logistics Coordinator for this global logistics provider has been great. The Miami team is really supportive, and I've learned tons about international shipping and supply chain. There's a good work-life balance, which is important in this industry, and I don't often feel overwhelmed.
Cons: Career growth can feel a bit slow sometimes, and the promotion process isn't always quick. Some legacy systems could use an update, making daily tasks a little clunky.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing career progression paths for roles like Logistics Coordinator to help employees see clear growth opportunities. Also, investing in modernizing some of the older operational systems would boost efficiency for daily tasks.

Growth is Slow Here for Logistics Pros
Pros: The job security for freight forwarding is solid. My team was pretty good, and the hybrid WFH option in the Atlanta office was nice. It's a stable company if you're not trying to move up fast.
Cons: Career growth for Logistics Coordinator roles is tough. There aren't many opportunities for promotion, and formal training for skill development is limited. You often feel stuck in your role here.
Advice to Management: Management should really invest more in career development programs and create clearer paths for advancement. Offer more training for employees in the freight forwarding and supply chain industry.

Decent Balance for Logistics Work, Can Be Busy
Pros: As a Logistics Coordinator in the Miami office, I usually had pretty standard 40-hour weeks. There was some flexibility with start times if you needed to shift things around, which was a real plus for personal appointments. It's decent for an onsite role in the logistics industry.
Cons: The work-life balance here can get tough during peak shipping seasons or when we had staffing shortages. I've definitely had weeks where it stretched to 50+ hours, which isn't great. Sometimes it feels like you're always on call, even after hours.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into better staffing during peak times to reduce overtime for those in freight forwarding roles. More clear boundaries for after-hours contact would also help a lot.
