Pros: Some teams feel solid, especially if you're on a long-term R&D project. The pay and benefits for data science roles are actually quite good, which is a big plus. You definitely learn a lot working in the agritech industry.
Cons: Job security is a real concern here, especially as a Senior Data Analyst. There have been a lot of reorganizations lately, making things feel really unstable in the Boston office. It's hard to plan your career when layoffs are always a whisper.
Advice to Management: Please communicate more openly about the company's direction and future hiring plans. It would really help reduce anxiety and improve morale. Transparency is key, especially during reorgs.

Pros: I did learn new cloud stuff as a Senior Software Engineer. That's a plus. They have internal training platforms, which are okay for skill upkeep in this corporate environment.
Cons: Career progression feels super slow. No clear path from Senior Software Engineer to a Staff role. Not much budget for outside conferences or certifications. Limits growth, especially for us in the Toronto office.
Advice to Management: Managers really need to work on clear career paths and skill development budgets. Make it easier for Senior Software Engineers to see their next steps and actually get there.
