Pros: I've really enjoyed my time as a Software Engineer here. The company culture is quite collaborative; people are always willing to help out. There are tons of opportunities to learn new technologies, especially in the cloud computing space. It's a stable environment, which I appreciate, and you get to work with some seriously smart colleagues on interesting projects.
Cons: Sometimes the promotion path feels a bit slow, especially for individual contributors. Also, internal communication could be clearer across different teams; it can be tough to get a full picture of project dependencies sometimes. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something I think could improve.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining the promotion process for technical roles and invest in better cross-team communication tools or regular syncs to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Pros: The company definitely supports a hybrid work model. It's nice to have some days remote from home. This helps a lot when managing personal appointments, especially for technical roles in cloud services.
Cons: True flexibility often depends heavily on your specific team and manager. There's pressure for on-site presence for key client meetings or certain project phases. Working across global timezones for our enterprise solutions can also mess up your schedule quite a bit.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize work-from-home policies more consistently across different departments and regions. This would help a lot for global teams in the cloud services sector.

Pros: Some of the senior technical leads are super smart and you learn a lot from them on cloud infrastructure projects. The pay package is decent for big tech in Santa Clara, CA.
Cons: Upper management often changes direction without much notice. This creates a lot of rework for engineering teams, especially for us working on critical cloud solutions. Communication from leadership can be pretty siloed, which isn't great for transparency.
Advice to Management: Leaders need to set a clearer vision and stick to it longer. Improve communication across departments, it would help everyone, especially for Solutions Architect roles.
