Job security isn't what it used to be
Pros: The team in the Austin, TX office is genuinely great to work with. There's a decent work-life balance for data analyst roles here, usually hitting around 40-hour weeks. Benefits like health insurance are pretty solid too.
Cons: Job security has taken a hit lately. We've seen a few rounds of layoffs, especially for some of the older data processing roles, which makes everyone nervous. It's tough in the current data solutions industry climate.
Advice to Management: Be more transparent about company direction and future plans. It would help a lot with employee morale during these uncertain times.

Hybrid Model is Okay, But Needs More Flexibility
Pros: As a Data Analyst, the hybrid schedule was predictable. I was in the Austin, TX office 2-3 days a week. It was manageable for my specific data integration tasks, and I liked seeing colleagues in person.
Cons: True work flexibility isn't great if you need full remote. They require 2-3 days in the Austin, TX office, even for many data roles. The core hours are pretty strict, which limits WFH day flexibility if you have appointments.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more remote options for data solutions teams, especially for roles that don't require constant in-person interaction. Loosen up core hours a bit to genuinely improve work flexibility.

Pay's Alright, Benefits Lag Behind
Pros: As a Data Analyst, my base salary was solid, especially for a fully remote gig. They do pay competitively for roles in the data analytics industry. It's probably the best part about compensation here.
Cons: The health benefits are pricey, and the 401k match isn't much to write home about. PTO also felt a bit stingy. You really feel the difference compared to what other tech companies offer.
Advice to Management: Seriously look at beefing up the benefits package. Better health plans and a stronger 401k match would make a huge difference for retention.
