Pros: The hybrid model is a solid perk for us commercial real estate agents. Getting those WFH days helps, especially when I'm not out showing property listings. It really makes the Downtown Chicago commute easier on those days.
Cons: But real flexible hours are often tough with all the client meetings. Even on WFH days, you still feel tied to your desk. It's not truly a flexible work arrangement when client demands are so high.
Advice to Management: Maybe look at how client-facing roles like commercial real estate agents can truly get more flexible hours without sacrificing client service. Empower managers to offer more real work-life balance.

Pros: As a Commercial Real Estate Advisor, I do get some flexibility, especially once you've established your book of business. The hybrid model allows a couple of days WFH, which is nice for personal appointments. It's not totally rigid for senior brokerage roles.
Cons: Still, there's pressure to be in the Chicago office more often than not. Client meetings and internal collaboration for commercial real estate deals often mean you're expected onsite. Remote work isn't really pushed for junior roles, it's pretty much an onsite culture for them.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the hybrid policy more across different teams and roles. It would help retain talent if there was clearer guidance on work flexibility beyond just senior Commercial Real Estate Advisors.

Pros: As a Senior Property Manager in the Denver office, I've found some decent work-life balance. They offer a pretty solid hybrid model, which is nice. I can WFH a couple of days a week, making it easier to manage personal stuff.
Cons: However, the flexibility really depends on your specific team and portfolio within commercial real estate. Some of my colleagues don't get the same WFH options. There's also an expectation to be available for clients, which can sometimes make true flexibility tough.
Advice to Management: Management should really standardize work flexibility policies across all teams, especially within commercial real estate services. Make sure all employees, not just a select few, can truly take advantage of the WFH options and hybrid model.
