Okay Base Pay, Tough Commission in NYC
Pros: The base salary for a Recruitment Consultant in the headhunting industry is decent, especially if you're just starting out in the New York City office. The health benefits package is pretty standard and gets the job done.
Cons: It's super tough to hit commission targets. Like, really tough. So your overall take-home pay doesn't grow much, even with solid performance. Don't count on bonuses, they're practically non-existent for most roles.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the commission structure. Make it more attainable for Recruitment Consultants to actually earn good money beyond their base. Better incentives would boost morale and retention.

Leadership needs some serious work here
Pros: I got solid experience in candidate sourcing for various tech roles, which was valuable. The team in the Chicago, IL office is genuinely supportive, and I learned a lot as a recruiting coordinator.
Cons: Leadership's vision is pretty unclear; it felt like we were often just reacting. They don't provide consistent feedback, which makes career growth tough for us.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating a unified vision and communicating it clearly to everyone. Regular, constructive feedback sessions would also make a huge difference for employee development.
