R&D Engineer to develop the core intelligence of our next-generation network control platforms. This is a critical role responsible for shaping the future of secure, high-performance connectivity in the 5G, IoT, and Smart City sectors.
The Opportunity: Develop the Core Network Controller
You will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of our network control plane—the
eBrain—which manages and optimizes our Software Defined Metro (SDM) network overlays across disparate infrastructure (5G, 4G, MPLS, Broadband). The successful candidate will transition the network from concept to commercial reality, ensuring scalability, security, and superior performance for our enterprise and operator clients.
Key Concept: The eBrain is the central management platform for our SDM solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Controller Development: Assist and implement high-performance, fault-tolerant network controller software and logic.
- System Integration: Integrate core controller functions with our Xatellite CPEs (mainly the PCB boards) and cloud-based management systems.
- Requirement Translation: Work closely with the business and product teams to translate complex customer needs from the Telecom, IoT, and Smart City sectors into robust, scalable engineering specifications.
Essential Candidate Profile
Technical Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on R&D experience in software development for networking or telecommunications products.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience in one or more of the following critical fields: Software-Defined Networking (SDN), SD-WAN, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), 5G/LTE core or access network development, IoT platforms, or Smart City infrastructure.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience gained at a large telecom vendor (e.g., Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson, Cisco, Juniper) or a Tier-1/2 telecom operator is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer pain points and translate them into product features and technical requirements.
