Job Description
The PTA Committee at Clearwater Bay School (CWBS) is looking for a part-time administrator. CWBS PTA supports the school and parent community in a number of ways, including organising social and fundraising events, as well as being a key point of contact and guidance for parents.
Responsibilities
Working with an existing Part-time Administrator, this role will provide support to the PTA Committee, the parents of the school and will work closely with the PTA Chair and School Principal, responsibilities include:
- Planning and coordination of events, both large- and small-scale
- Developing, sourcing and ordering new products e.g. fundraising items, student gifts
- General administrative support, including dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence (email and post) and responding to general enquiries
- Processing and recording payments into and out of the PTA Committee Funds and reporting, as needed
- Supporting the PTA Committee & Chair, including arranging meetings, distributing documents etc
- Manage donations and re-distribution of pre-loved books and school uniform
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with students, parents and school staff
- Good organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to work with standard software packages (Microsoft Office, Google Docs etc.)
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively, as part of a team
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Cantonese is not required, but would be an advantage
Working Hours
- The role is term-time only, plus an additional week in August (i.e. duties will commence the week before school resumes each year)
- Current working hours will be capped at 15.5 hours per week
- Attendance at after-school or evening meetings and events will be required, on occasion
- It is anticipated that the hours will be spread over the week, to ensure necessary cover in the PTA Office
Applicants must be a Hong Kong permanent resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
