Decent Hybrid, But Expectations Are High
Pros: The hybrid model works fine for me, as a Senior Software Engineer. I get a couple days remote which is good for avoiding the Tel Aviv traffic. For security roles, there's some trust in getting your work done. They've got solid benefits too.
Cons: Don't expect full remote work here; it's pretty much a hybrid setup. Sometimes you feel the push to be in the office more than planned. Flexibility can vary a lot between different teams and managers, it's not always consistent across the company.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize work flexibility across departments. It would really help with morale and attract more talent, especially for core engineering roles. More transparency on what's expected for office days would be good.

Work-Life Balance is Okay, But Demanding Role
Pros: As a Software Engineer here, I've found the benefits package is pretty solid. We've got a decent team, and there's some flexibility for hybrid work, which helps a bit. The challenges in the cybersecurity industry are interesting.
Cons: It's common to put in long hours, especially for software development projects nearing deadlines. The on-call rotations can really mess with your personal time, making true work-life balance tough. You often feel the pressure to deliver.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scopes and resources to prevent consistent crunch times. Review on-call schedules to ensure employees aren't constantly burned out.

Hybrid work is okay for security engineering.
Pros: I appreciated the hybrid work flexibility. Being remote from Dallas some days really helps my work-life balance. My direct team was usually supportive if I needed a slightly different schedule for personal stuff.
Cons: Despite the hybrid option, there's often pressure to be onsite more than officially required. As a security engineer, finding true flexibility for specific projects can be tough, even for remote roles. It sometimes feels like "flexible hours" is just a suggestion.
Advice to Management: Consistently enforce flexible work policies across all teams. Give managers more tools to truly support remote and hybrid employees.
