Decent pay for a tough job, but benefits lack
Pros: The base pay for an armored truck driver in Houston, TX is actually pretty solid. I've always gotten my checks on time, and there's usually plenty of overtime if you want it. It's a very stable job within the security industry.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great, especially the health insurance premiums, which really eat into your take-home pay. For these crucial cash handling logistics roles, I feel the company could offer more. There aren't many perks beyond the basics for the demanding onsite work.
Advice to Management: Please review the benefits package, especially the health insurance options. Employees in critical armored transport roles deserve better support and more competitive benefits.

Solid, Stable Job for Armored Crews
Pros: If you're looking for stability, this is it. As an Armored Car Driver, my job felt secure because cash management and secure logistics are always needed. It's an established company, so you don't worry about layoffs much.
Cons: The pay isn't amazing for the responsibility, and career growth for drivers is pretty limited. You're mostly stuck in one role. Also, work-life balance can be a real struggle with long shifts.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into better compensation for Armored Car Drivers. Recognize the risks we take daily. Also, try to improve work schedules for a better work-life balance.

Leadership Can Be Hit or Miss, Location Matters
Pros: You get decent pay and benefits for an onsite security services role. The daily routine as an Armored Truck Driver is pretty consistent, so you know what to expect. Job security is solid in the cash logistics industry.
Cons: Leadership in our Dallas, TX office often felt out of touch. Communication from management to the frontline staff wasn't great. There's not much opportunity for career growth or internal promotion here, even with Brink's' big corporate structure.
Advice to Management: Try to get more direct feedback from your Armored Truck Drivers and other frontline staff. Improve communication from corporate down to the local branches. Invest more in leadership training for local managers, especially for new hires.

Leadership needs to step up big time
Pros: The job itself, moving cash and valuables, is pretty straightforward as an Armored Truck Driver. You get solid benefits and the job security in the cash logistics industry is actually really good. It's a big corporate company, so there's stability.
Cons: Leadership at the Atlanta branch is often out of touch. They don't seem to understand the daily challenges of armored transport and make decisions without real-world input. Communication from up top is usually pretty poor too, leading to frustration for us onsite folks.
Advice to Management: Listen to your frontline staff. The folks doing the armored transport know what's really happening. Better communication and more practical decision-making would go a long way in the cash logistics operations.

Culture's okay, but it depends on your branch.
Pros: My direct team in the Dallas, TX office was usually pretty good. We had each other's backs as Armored Car Drivers, which is key in this security industry. There's a decent sense of camaraderie among the frontline staff.
Cons: It's a very big, corporate company, so the culture can feel really impersonal. Communication from upper management often misses the mark, making you feel like just another number in the cash logistics operation. They don't seem to get what it's like on the ground.
Advice to Management: Listen to the folks on the ground more. Improve internal communication. Make an effort to connect with employees, especially those in the field.

Tough but fair for a driver role
Pros: The pay is pretty solid for an armored transport job, especially with overtime. You're constantly moving, which I like. Plus, it's a stable company, always needing security logistics.
Cons: Work-life balance is tough as an Armored Car Driver. The shifts are long, often 10-12 hours, and weekend work is common. It's hard to plan anything outside of work in the Chicago, IL branch.
Advice to Management: I'd say management needs to look at driver schedules. Burnout is real when you're always working these long, onsite hours.

Tough to get much flexibility in this job
Pros: It's a pretty stable job in the security industry. You know your hours generally. We get decent benefits for corporate standards.
Cons: Work flexibility is practically nonexistent for an Armored Car Driver. Schedules are super rigid with fixed routes. It's tough if you need to switch shifts or have personal appointments in Houston, TX. Forget about remote work.
Advice to Management: Try to find ways to offer even minor schedule adjustments or a more predictable rotation for fixed routes. It would help a lot with morale.
