Pros: You'll learn a lot on the job, especially if you're new to the biotech industry. The senior scientists are pretty good mentors for Research Assistant roles. There's always plenty of hands-on experience with genomic sequencing tech.
Cons: Career growth here is pretty slow unless you're willing to really push for it. Promotions don't come easily; it feels like you're stuck in the same spot for a while. There aren't many structured development programs, so you have to seek opportunities yourself for vertical growth.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into creating clear career paths for lab technician and Research Assistant roles. A small training budget or mentorship program would go a long way to boost career growth and retain talent in the Jakarta office.

Pros: The best part is definitely the team. My fellow Lab Technicians and colleagues in molecular diagnostics are really solid. We have a good vibe for daily lab work in the Jakarta office, which makes a difference.
Cons: The culture here can feel a bit old-school. Management doesn't always communicate well, especially about big company plans. It sometimes feels like ideas from the ground level just don't get heard, making career growth feel slow.
Advice to Management: Try to be more open with employees about company strategy. Encourage fresh ideas from all levels, not just top-down.
