Pros: I liked the hybrid model initially, with two days WFH. It definitely helped avoid some Jakarta traffic as a Software Engineer. There's a decent amount of personal time for appointments if you communicate well.
Cons: The 'flexible hours' are often just 30 minutes each way, not truly flexible for deep work or family needs. Switching to fully remote isn't really an option, even for experienced roles. It's tough when projects get intense, the hybrid model can feel restrictive.
Advice to Management: Trust your employees more with true flexible hours, not just a small window. Consider making a full WFH option available for certain roles, especially as a tech industry player. It would really improve employee retention and satisfaction.
