Decent Flexibility for a Growing Conservation Startup
Pros: The work flexibility is a big plus here. As a Project Coordinator, I could often manage my own schedule, which helps a lot with personal appointments. They're good about WFH if you're not needed onsite in Yogyakarta.
Cons: Sometimes the flexibility means meetings pop up late, messing with your plans. For an environmental conservation startup, they can sometimes expect you to be always 'on'. It's tough when projects have tight deadlines.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries around meeting times and WFH expectations. It would help improve work-life balance even more for the team.

Good mission, but job stability is a concern
Pros: I've learned a ton working here, especially about environmental conservation in Indonesia. The team is really passionate about the cause. Hybrid work arrangement is a plus for work-life balance.
Cons: Job security feels pretty shaky sometimes, especially as a startup in this industry. Funding can be unpredictable, so there's always a worry about project continuity for roles like mine. Pay isn't super competitive either for a specialist role.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about funding and future project plans. It would really help reduce anxiety around job stability for us.

Pay's okay for an environmental startup
Pros: You get to work on real environmental conservation projects, which feels good. The health benefits package is pretty solid for a startup, even if the base salary isn't top-tier for a Project Coordinator.
Cons: The salary for this Project Coordinator role is definitely on the lower side, especially if you're remote from Jakarta. Don't expect big tech compensation. There aren't many opportunities for rapid salary bumps either.
Advice to Management: Revisit salary bands for key roles like Project Coordinator. Better compensation could really help attract and retain more talent in environmental conservation.
