Pros: My direct team is great; we support each other. I've learned a ton about commercial real estate operations as an Associate Property Manager. The hybrid model in Chicago is also pretty decent for work-life balance.
Cons: Leadership here often makes quick calls without proper consultation. It's frustrating when big real estate development decisions come down with little notice. Communication from the top isn't consistent, leading to a lot of guesswork and rework.
Advice to Management: Please listen more to the folks on the ground. Clearer communication and involving us in decision-making would massively improve morale and project outcomes for property management.
