Pros: I appreciated the hybrid work arrangement. As a Research Associate, I got two remote days a week to work on reports or data, which was nice. It's pretty good for a small biotech/skincare startup.
Cons: Being in R&D means you're still mostly tied to the San Francisco lab. It's tough to get real flexibility if you need to shift hours often. You're expected to be onsite a lot for formulation work.
Advice to Management: Think about offering more flexible core hours, even for lab-dependent roles. It would really help with work-life balance for the R&D team.
