Decent flexibility, but watch the long hours
Pros: The hybrid model at Zeno Group is a huge plus for PR professionals. As an Account Executive, I've used WFH options to manage appointments or avoid a tough commute. They're pretty good about trusting you to get your work done.
Cons: Even with the flexibility, you're often tied to your laptop late into the evening. It's a demanding communications agency. In the New York City office, the lines between work and personal time can get really blurry.
Advice to Management: Set clearer boundaries for off-hours and weekends, even with the hybrid setup. Encourage teams to truly disconnect more. Burnout is a real concern for Account Executives across the industry.

Solid hybrid model, but it can be tight
Pros: The hybrid model is great, you're usually in the New York office 3 days a week. That works well for collaboration and building team rapport. It's a solid setup for most of the week if your clients aren't demanding extra onsite time.
Cons: Work flexibility really depends on your accounts and deadlines. As an Account Executive, client-facing demands mean remote work isn't always an option when things get crazy. There's not much room to shift days if something unexpected pops up, which can be tough in this fast-paced public relations agency.
Advice to Management: Try to empower teams more to manage their own schedules, especially for those in client-facing roles. Recognize that the hybrid model needs more actual flexibility during busy periods, not just a set 3 days in office.

Growth is there, but you have to push for it
Pros: There are opportunities to learn new skills, especially with different client accounts in the public relations agency world. I've learned a lot about media relations and client strategy since starting. Mentors are available if you seek them out; some senior leaders are really good.
Cons: Career growth isn't always clearly mapped out for Account Executive roles. Promotions can feel slow in the New York City office, even with good performance. It sometimes feels like you have to really fight for new projects or upward mobility.
Advice to Management: Create clearer pathways for career growth. Make promotion criteria transparent. Ensure managers actively support their team's development, not just project delivery.
