Great Company, Good Flexibility for Office Roles
Pros: I really enjoy being an Operations Coordinator at easyJet. The team in Luton is incredibly supportive and collaborative, which makes work enjoyable. It's a great place to learn about the fast-paced airline industry. Plus, the hybrid work model gives me good work flexibility, which is a huge benefit, and the staff travel perks are fantastic.
Cons: Career progression can feel a bit slow for some office roles. Also, communication between different departments could be smoother to help streamline workflows, and some legacy systems are definitely ready for an upgrade.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving inter-departmental communication and consider investing in modernizing some of the legacy IT systems to boost efficiency for teams like operations.

Decent stability in the airline industry, but shifts can be tough
Pros: It's a solid, corporate airline, so you don't really worry about the company disappearing overnight. For cabin crew roles, there's a steady demand, especially during peak travel seasons. You get decent training too, which helps your career in the airline industry.
Cons: Job security can feel a bit shaky with external factors, like during the pandemic. Even with a large company like easyJet, you're always aware of potential layoffs or base closures. Sometimes the roster changes without much notice, which makes planning hard for Flight Attendants.
Advice to Management: Try to give Flight Attendants more notice for roster changes and be transparent about job outlooks. It helps a lot with morale and personal planning, especially in the volatile airline industry.

Cabin Crew

Flexibility comes with a few major catches
Pros: I've found some decent flexibility with shift swaps through colleagues, which helps a lot as a Cabin Crew member. There's often a chance to pick up extra hours if you want them, boosting pay. The work isn't always a fixed schedule, which can be good.
Cons: The biggest issue is the constant last-minute roster changes, especially at the London Gatwick base. It's really hard to plan anything outside of work when your flight schedules can change overnight. This lack of predictability makes work-life balance a struggle for airline staff.
Advice to Management: Please try to stabilize the flight schedules and rosters. More notice on changes for Cabin Crew would make a huge difference for planning personal lives.
