Pros: My base salary as a Software Engineer is actually pretty solid, especially for a startup. The health insurance is also quite good; they cover a decent chunk of the premiums.
Cons: The 401k match is pretty weak, it's just not competitive in the tech industry. Stock options aren't great either, and there aren't many extra perks when you're working remote from Seattle.
Advice to Management: Seriously re-evaluate the 401k matching program and consider adding some more tangible benefits. It'd help a lot with retention for your Software Engineer roles.

Pros: The hybrid work model is actually a decent perk for engineering roles. We get 2 days a week to work from home, which is good for personal appointments. It helps with the San Francisco commute.
Cons: They're pretty strict about the 3 days in the office though. There aren't many remote options if you're not local. This makes true work flexibility tough for us in software development.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more remote options for experienced staff. True work flexibility is a big draw in the FinTech industry now.
