Great Tech Job with Solid Pay and Flexibility
Pros: As a Software Engineer, I appreciate the really competitive pay and benefits package in the tech industry. The hybrid work model offers excellent flexibility, and colleagues are very supportive. There's good stability and always chances to pick up new skills, especially in cloud tech.
Cons: Project approval processes can be a bit slow. Also, while career development exists, the promotion path could be clearer or faster.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal approval workflows to enhance project speed. Also, consider clearer frameworks for career progression and promotion timelines to help employees plan their development.

Decent place for now, but growth is slow
Pros: The remote work flexibility is great, I can WFH from anywhere. The team is solid, and for an entry-level software development role, the initial learning curve was good.
Cons: Career growth for a Software Engineer here is pretty limited. There aren't many clear paths to move up, and promotions feel slow or non-existent. Opportunities to pick up new skills are rare unless you push hard for them.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career paths and offer more training for software development roles. It's tough to stay motivated without seeing opportunities to grow.

Mixed Bag of Leadership at BRIK
Pros: My direct manager is solid, really supportive with software development issues. They push for clear project goals which is super helpful for entry-level tech roles. Team leads are often great.
Cons: Senior leadership can feel pretty disconnected from the day-to-day. Decisions often just appear, especially impacting our hybrid work model setup. There's not enough transparency or two-way communication from the top.
Advice to Management: Senior leaders need to engage more with teams. Explain the 'why' behind big decisions. Really listen to feedback on how the hybrid work model is actually working.
