Great Place to Learn with Excellent Flexibility
Pros: VML has been a positive experience as a Marketing Coordinator in a global advertising agency. I really appreciate the supportive colleagues and the collaborative culture. I've had many learning opportunities and the hybrid work flexibility is a big plus, allowing for a good work-life balance.
Cons: Career growth sometimes feels a bit slower than anticipated. Also, internal approval processes for larger client campaigns can be a bit clunky, occasionally impacting project timelines.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal approval processes for major projects to improve efficiency and reduce potential delays. Also, explore clearer paths for career progression to help employees understand growth trajectories.

Decent Place, But Work-Life Balance is a Grind
Pros: I've met some great people here, and the culture in the Kansas City office is pretty supportive. They do offer a hybrid work setup, which helps break up the week. For a large advertising agency, the benefits package is decent.
Cons: The work-life balance for an Account Manager can be tough. Client demands often mean working late, especially around campaign launches. It's not always a 40-hour week.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage client expectations and resource allocation so teams, especially in account service, aren't constantly overwhelmed. More support for peak periods would help with burnout.

Work-life balance can be a real challenge
Pros: I appreciated the opportunity to work on some really big digital marketing campaigns. As an Account Executive, you learn a lot quickly. There's usually a decent sense of team in the Kansas City office, which helps when things get crazy.
Cons: The expectations for client services are very high, leading to a lot of late nights. It's tough to maintain good work-life balance, especially when deadlines hit. You often feel like you're always on call for agency clients.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage scope creep and client expectations to give your teams more breathing room. It would really help with employee burnout for agency roles.
