Standard Production Job, Low Flexibility
Pros: The team is generally good, and I learned a lot about the label printing process. Pay is decent for a production planner role in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Job security feels pretty solid too.
Cons: Work flexibility isn't really a thing here. You're mostly onsite, and the schedule is fixed, which can be tough. Don't expect to WFH much, so remote work options are nonexistent.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more hybrid options for roles that don't require constant floor presence. It would help with retention.

Work Flexibility is Tough for Onsite Production Roles
Pros: You generally know what to expect from your schedule. There's a decent sense of job security in this corporate environment. People in the Cincinnati, OH plant are mostly good to work with.
Cons: Work flexibility is pretty minimal. As a Production Scheduler, I didn't have options for remote work. The production schedules are really rigid, so don't expect much give for an onsite role.
Advice to Management: For non-production roles, try to explore more hybrid or work-from-home options. Even small changes in start/end times could really help with employee morale in onsite roles.

Growth Paths Aren't Clear for Production Jobs
Pros: MCC Label is a solid, large company in the packaging industry. It's a stable place to work, especially if you're looking for consistent hours and decent benefits. For a Production Supervisor, you generally know what to expect day-to-day.
Cons: Career growth here, especially for onsite production roles, feels pretty limited. There aren't many clear paths to move up unless you switch departments entirely. Promotions for label manufacturing operations roles seem rare in the Cincinnati, Ohio plant.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer career development plans and internal promotion opportunities for folks in manufacturing operations. It'd help a lot with retention.
