Work flexibility is a mixed bag here
Working at Techolution was okay when it came to flexibility, but it really depended on the team I was on. Some managers were great about remote options, others not so much. If you're looking for consistent work-from-home as a software engineer, it's a bit of a gamble.
My specific team had a pretty solid remote work policy for a while. We could mostly work from home, which was a huge plus for my work-life balance. It's nice that the tech industry overall supports this, and some managers really get it.
The biggest issue is the inconsistency. Not all projects or teams had the same flexibility. Some expected you in the Atlanta office for a hybrid model, making it tough to plan. It wasn't always clear what the expectation was for developers.
Try to standardize the work flexibility policies across all teams and projects. It would help a lot if expectations for remote work or hybrid setups were consistent for all software engineers.
